Happy Hermit is a small home-based business. Darlene has been creating for over 50 years and offers a wide range of handmade crafts, from her first love of crochet – to cold process soap and soy candles – and to her newfound passion for embroidery, which has opened many new creative doors for our sewing projects.

We are a smoke-free but pet friendly home. You’ll often see herbs and botanicals in our soap and soy candles, many of which are grown in our garden, free of pesticides or chemicals. We try to stay as natural and earth friendly as possible, even recycling packaging materials.
